How can I get the Basketball Camp in Alicante?

Alicante has excellent connections with other cities in Spain and Europe. The majority of the students arrive by plane. The Alicante airport (El Altet) is located 11 km from Alicante and it takes about 30-40 min from the airport to the city centre depending on the traffic. There are domestic and international flights that connect Alicante to the main European and Spanish cities.

Transfer service from Alicante airport, bus station or train station is NOT included in the package price. If you want to contract this service, fill in the corresponding section in the enrolment form, specifying clearly the Airline, the flight number, the date and time of your arrival.

The cost for this service varies depending on the place and time of arrival or departure. The price is also affected by the player’s age if he/she is flying as an unaccompanied minor and requires collection and transfer by a member of staff.

A representative of the Spanish school will pick students up at the airport and bring them directly to the Residence. Since Alicante airport is small, you will quickly see a person with your name that will be waiting for you when you exit the terminal.

How do I handle roommate requests?

There is a question in the Enrolment form where you can specify if you travel with a companion and you can write the companion's name. Thus, if you have the same sex, we can accommodate together.

Camp is in a safe area? Are campers supervised?

Yes to both questions. Residence and basketball courts for the Basketball Camp are in the suburbs of Alicante in a very quiet and safe area, at the University of Alicante area. If Basketball Camp participants have residence accommodation, are highly supervised. Only during their free time (and they do not have a lot) or during the time to rest they could be in the common rooms or watching TV without camp counselors, although they are in the building. Campers have to participate in all the scheduled on-campus and off-campus activities and in all the activities are adults with them. Campers can not go out from the camp premises alone.

How is the food at Camp?

Healthy with quality, variety and taking into acccount that you are playing hard. You will have three main meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus 2 snaks (2 dietary supplements —juice, fruit, yougurth, snaks or sandwichs) in the, afternoon after the basketball training and before going to sleep.

Sportsman’s breakfast: fruit, cereal, yoghurt, milk, ham or cheese, bread roll
Lunch: self-service with starter (from three choices), main course (from three choices) and dessert (from two choices)
Evening meal: self-service with starter (from two choices), main course (from two choices) and dessert.

At the weekend, players participating in both camp weeks have breakfast and an evening meal at the residence, and are provided with a packed lunch to take on excursions.
Can parents join the Basketball camp?

If you want to come with your children for the entire Summer camp (1 or 2 weeks) or only one week, and if you are interested in languages, you can have a Spanish Course in the morning and enjoy your holidays in Alicante. You can also be lodged at the same residence-dormitory or if you prefer we can suggest different hotels and activities. Please feel free to enquire for further information about Spanish programs for families.

If a basketball player comes with a brother, sister, friends and they prefer to take part in other Sport camp, they can do it. You can check other Sport Camps in Alicante
