Spanish and Basketball Camp in Alicante: Spare time activities
In addition to Spanish classes and basketball training, a range of other activities are organised for basketball camp participants that take place after training and – for players attending both weeks – on Saturday and Sunday:
Sight-seeing and activities in Alicante
- Alicante city centre
- Santa Bárbara Castle, offering a spectacular view of Alicante
- the Museum of Archeology, where students can find out more about Alicante’s earliest history
- the Museo Fallero, where students can learn more about the traditional festivals of Alicante.
- the Museo de Belenes or the Bullfighting Museum
- beach fun
- afternoon shopping trip and evening tapas at a restaurant
- karaoke.
For participants attending both camp weeks:
- day at the beach in Alicante, Villajoyosa or on the Island of Tabarca
- full-day excursion to Terra Mítica, Terra Natura, Acualandia or the City of Arts and Sciences of Valencia.
Monday to Friday activities last for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours (from 18:30 to 20:30)
Saturday activities last for approximately 8-10 hours, from 10:00-11:00 until 20:00.
All public and private transport and any necessary entrance prices are included in the camp price. Refreshments, ice creams and other purchases which the students wish to make are not included in the camp price.
The activities mentioned above are planned for the whole of July and are rotated each week. Participants at the basketball camp take part in the planned activities during their stay alongside both Spanish and foreign participants from the tennis, sailing, windsurfing or golf camps. |
