Baskonia Sports City is located near the Natural Park of Salburua. In this luxury complex of 40,000 m2, sports facilities occupy 15,000 m2

In 2003, TAU Ceramica Baskonia Basketball Team started the project of its Sports City with the main goal of getting involved in the city’s life.

Baskonia Sports City has been recently opened. It is located near Buesa Arena (where TAU Baskonia plays) and is aimed at member of Baskonia’s different teams, supporters, and anyone interested in health, leisure, and sport.

The fully-equipped facilities offers the user a wide range of different spaces and activities:
- Ice and Curling Rink.
- Multipurpose track.
- Indoor swimming pools with areas for hydrotherapy and baby swimming; Outdoor swimming pool with different areas (children, hydrotherapy, play area, etc.)
- Wellness area: Four swimming pools at different temperatures, heated deckchairs, relax area, sauna, Turkish bath, ice fountain, four sensation showers, etc. ( SPA )
- Beauty area with seven treatment booths.
- Muscle-building and cardiovascular gym, as well as three gyms with guided activities.
- Outdoor areas with 10 paddle tennis courts (6 indoor and 4 outdoor), 2 tennis courts, outdoor and heated swimming pools, playing grounds, rollers and cycling circuit.
- Basketball court (of course), agorespace, children’s games, table tennis, etc.
- Social area with restaurant and a bar at different levels (for people using the ice rink, the wet area, and spectators at the multipurpose track and ice-rink).
- Company area with training rooms equipped with the latest technology.  - Private and indoor car park.
- Sports medicine clinic.

Baskonia Sports City is devoted to satisfy anybody’s sports needs: the fitness area is divided according to different types of users, there are personal trainers, Kinesis, Pilates…, water activities at high temperatures (for people with osteoarticular diseases), as well as spaces for ice skaters, hockey and curling players, paddle tennis players…

The offer at Baskonia Sports City focuses on the following ideas: Health is the main goal of the project.

The programs of hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, medicine, personal trainers, etc. are developed in this line. The medical activity will be in charge of U.S.P. (the leading private hospital chain in Spain).

Personalized attention: Our different management systems allow meeting the specific needs of our users, trying to offer an appropriate response to their sports expectations in our facilities and programs.

That is the reason why these facilities have a maximum number of 3,000 members, allowing thus offering an appropriate attention and service.

Relationships: The different social spaces, indoor and outdoor offer packs, and the management of groups for the same offer will be one of the key actions. Activities aimed at runners, skaters, paddle tennis players, basketball players, etc. Safety:

The different systems that have been included (accesses, traffic, security circuits), as well as the materials used in the construction and the design of the building provide the user the security of being in safe facilities.

Training: There will be programs for different ages with educational purposes, mainly aimed at the little ones and at teenagers, including multi-activity programs (swimming, ice skating, paddle tennis, basketball, volleyball, etc.).

Family: The facilities allow the family to make a global use of it, through the different spaces and offers. One of our essential aims is feeling that families can enjoy these facilities globally, providing the same special attention to everybody. Wellness: Wellness is one of the biggest spaces; a space that, besides paying a special attention to health, offers relax, stress release, calm…

Quality: We intend to reach a high standard of quality in each aspect: building features, programs, information, attention, booking management, etc. The modernized management and control systems (automation, accesses, personalized monitoring, etc.) will make this goal easier.

Environmental management, effectiveness, and sustainability: Everything pursues the maximum respect for the environment. The city was built under sustainability standards and the buildings have with vegetable roofs –allowing recovering rainfall and providing natural insulation, thus, reducing economic expenses.

The facilities have 300 m2 of solar panels, cogeneration power systems and the highest level of energy exchange and use. Waste management and recycling will be specially cared, as well as consumption monitoring and control.
